Governance opportunities

We are currently looking to recruit up to four individuals to be involved with the governance of TSPT.

Up to 2 Members wanted

‘Members’, who are volunteers, are effectively the shareholders of TSPT with a similar role to shareholders of any other company.  Their principal role is to hold the Board of Directors of TSPT to account by ensuring that they are discharging their duties effectively for the benefit of the children.  Normally, Members meet twice a year at Hayes Primary School for a 2 hour meeting during which they consider the activities of the Directors.  In order to fulfil this role effectively, prospective candidates should have senior leadership experience in either a school or in a business with a turnover of approximately £10m or more.

Up to 2 Directors wanted

Directors, who are volunteers, have a similar role to school governors except they are involved with the strategic direction and oversight of the entire Trust.  Although there is a significant time commitment (on average approx. 2 hours per week), this is a particularly rewarding role with Directors often serving two 4-year terms.

The posts available would particularly suit prospective candidates having senior leadership experience in either a school or in a business with a turnover of approximately £10m or more.

If you are interested in being considered for these roles please email contact@springpartnership.co.uk , enclosing a CV.

Opportunities are also available in governance on a local level.  Please see the 'governance' section on the relevant school website for contact information.
